Creating an Internship Program
Our goal is for every student to achieve experience in their field of study before
graduation. Internships can be paid or unpaid and ideally, the student could be eligible
for academic credit. The employer would need to provide a job description and qualifications
desired and the Career Services staff will assist you in finding candidates.
Internships are beneficial to both our students and the employer. Often interns make
the best employees upon graduation; you have the opportunity to build a relationship
and a pipeline of new talent. The student gets invaluable experience in their field
of study and with the development of soft skills such as teamwork, professionalism,
critical thinking, leadership, and communication.
