Resume & Job Search Support

Navigating your career path—whether landing your first job, securing an internship, or making a career change—can feel overwhelming. UAFS is here to support your success every step of the way.

Our Career Services team offers personalized guidance, resume and cover letter assistance, job search and interview preparation. Beginning July 1, 2026 UAFS will be utilizing Handshake - a secure job database where you can upload your resume, find both local and national opportunities, and connect with employers. We provide the tools and connections to help you achieve your career goals - make an appointment or stop by our office in the Library to learn more!

How to Access Handshake:

Current Students:

  • Go to My.UAFSand select My Apps - locate and click the Handshake app/option
  • Students will also receive an email invitation directly from Handshake in July
  • Use UAFS SSO (single-sign on) and update your profile, select your preferences, etc.
  • Upload your resume for our department to review - if you uploaded a resume to Lions CareerLink previously, it will NOT come over to Handshake.
  • Browse and apply for internships and part-time or full-time jobs - look for events and workshops as well!
