Apprenticeship Timeline

  • June – May: 40 hours per week (summer) | 12 hours per week (academic year)
  • Summer Kickoff at WATC: Professional & soft-skill development before workplace immersion

Eligibility: Students must successfully complete coursework in electronics technology or computer integrated machining before qualifying for an apprenticeship.


Industry Aligned and Future Ready

Our Modern Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide structured, industry-driven training that aligns with Arkansas’s evolving workforce needs.

  • Hands-On Training – Apprentices work full-time in summer and part-time during the academic year, gaining real-world experience while earning competitive wages.
  • Integrated Learning – Apprenticeships are aligned with early college (concurrent) credit courses through Western Arkansas Technical Center (WATC) and the Peak Innovation Center, ensuring students receive both classroom and practical training.
  • Customized for Industry – Apprenticeship models are tailored to meet employer needs, helping businesses build a pipeline of highly skilled professionals.
