Transfer Student Scholarships

The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith is the perfect choice for transfer students who want to complete their bachelor's degree or seek a more personalized academic experience. UAFS academic and financial aid advisors will help you get the most out of the credit hours you've already earned and make you aware of opportunities for financial aid.

UAFS offers many scholarships specifically for transfer students to reward your academic achievements and help pay for your degree. Our $1,000 Helping Hands Transfer Scholarship is available to students with 12 transferrable credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Additional details about this scholarship and others are available below.

No separate scholarship application is required for transfer awards. However, all materials for the Application for Admission must be received by the application deadline.

Students are encouraged to apply early for admission to UAFS for priority consideration of Transfer Student Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded as long as funding remains.

Students must be accepted for admission and classified as transfer students by the priority admission deadline to be eligible for priority consideration.

Although students may qualify for multiple scholarships, only one may be accepted. UAFS will award the largest scholarship.
