Group Advising Appointments
Group advising appointments are scheduled after you have completed your UAFS New Student Form in your UAFS application status portal. If you have any questions, please call the ROAR First-Year Advising Center at 479-788-7400.
Group advising appointments are for entering freshmen who will begin classes in the fall semester. These appointments take place in the summer before your first semester at UAFS. During this appointment, you will meet with an advisor, declare your major, and register for your first semester of classes.
To make the most of your group advising session, please complete the steps below and come prepared for your scheduled appointment.
1. Access your UAFS email. All communication from your advisor will go to your UAFS email address. Ensure that you can log in to My.UAFS and access your UAFS email before your appointment. 2. Look for your appointment confirmation. An appointment confirmation will be sent to your personal email address once you schedule
your group advising appointment. This confirmation will include all important meeting
details.
3. Submit an official transcript for concurrent coursework. If you completed concurrent or college coursework while in high school, you must
provide an official transcript that comes directly from the university or college
from which the credit was awarded. This coursework will not be on your high school
transcript.
4. Submit official AP or CLEP scores. If you have earned AP or CLEP credit, submit an official score report to UAFS so
your credit can be evaluated and applied to your academic record.
5. Complete all Workday onboarding tasks. These must be completed before your advising appointment. For assistance, please visit
the Workday website.
6. Submit your immunization records. If you have no already submitted your immunization records, please do so before your advising appointment. Students who do not submit their immunization records will not be able to register for classes. If you have questions, contact the Registrar's office at RegistrarFREEuafs.
- Explore the majors that UAFS has to offer.
- Review a copy of your degree requirements.
- Search the class schedule to see when and how classes are offered toward your degree
If you have questions about which major may be right for you, contact the ROAR at ROARFREEuafs.
- Complete your FAFSA.
- Know the requirements for YOUR scholarship. There are credit hour and GPA requirements for all UAFS scholarships, the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, and federal aid such as PELL Grants and loans. All scholarship requirements are outlined in your scholarship contract.
- If you have any questions regarding financial aid, contact FinAidFREEuafs.
- Follow the instructions sent to your personal email account to change your UAFS password.
- You must set up your UAFS account before your ROAR registration appointment.
- Log in to your Workday student account and Microsoft Outlook email account prior to your appointment.
- Notify the ROAR First-Year Advising Center at ROARFREEuafs if you do not have access.
