Registered Student Organizations
Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are an important part of student life at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. Through involvement in student organizations, students can develop leadership skills, build meaningful connections, gain professional experience, and contribute to the campus community.

What is a Registered Student Organization?
A Registered Student Organization is a student-led group that has completed the university registration process and has been officially recognized by the Office of Campus and Community Engagement (CACE).
Registration provides organizations access to university resources, event planning support, funding opportunities, leadership development programs, and promotional opportunities across campus.
Benefits of Being an RSO
- Reserve campus facilities and meeting spaces.
- Host events and programs on campus.
- Apply for Student Government Association funding.
- Promote events through university channels.

Organizations currently completing the registration process and working toward official recognition.
Organizations that have met all registration requirements and maintain good standing with the university.
Organizations that have failed to complete annual registration requirements or no longer meet university standards.
Organizations that have lost recognition and no longer receive university privileges or benefits.
- Registered Student Organizations may hold one of several statuses throughout their lifecycle.
Leadership Development
Student organizations provide opportunities for students to strengthen leadership, communication, teamwork, project management, and professional skills outside the classroom.
Through participation in RSOs, students can gain valuable experience that complements their academic pursuits and prepares them for future careers.
