Career Services Faculty Resources
We appreciate our faculty and your link with students so consider partnering with the Babb Center for Career Services in any of the following ways to help our students achieve success.
Don't Cancel Class
If you are out for any reason, let us fill in for you with some of our key skills presentations. Just complete this form and we will try to assist, subject to staff availability. While we appreciate as much notice as possible, we may be able to help at short notice. Most presentations fit within a 50-minute class schedule.
Schedule a Classroom or RSO Presentation
Schedule a Classroom or RSO Presentation into your semester planning. The Babb Center offers a range of presentations helping students build their career toolbox and all of these fulfill requirements toward achieving the Certificate of Student Professional Development.
- Presentations include:
- Basic Resume and Cover Letter
- Interview skills (Face-to-Face)
- Telephone/Virtual Interview skills
- Professionalism and Etiquette in the Workplace
- Career Technology 101
(online career resources Lions Careerlink/Focus2/MyNextMove)
- Utilizing LinkedIn
Use this form to schedule a presentation.
Share Internship and Job Opportunities
If you or your department receive job or internship opportunities, please forward these to our Admin Specialist, Stephany Dobbins, at email@example.com. We can post them on Lions Careerlink, the university-wide online job board, and disseminate through our coordinators to targeted students.
Refer Students for Assistance
Encourage your students to seek one-on-one career advising assistance by scheduling an appointment. Appointments can be made online through Navigate, via email, phone, or in-person.
Resume Reviews and Practice Interviews
Send your class to the Babb Center for Resume Reviews or Practice Interviews. If you build these into your syllabus, with some planning we can assist your grading of assignments. We can match your roster to completion of the assignment confirming the student has uploaded a resume or participated in short mock-interviews.
