Welding Technology

The Welding Technology Department in the College of Business and Industry is part of an exciting and growing campus that is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association and the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). If you want a career in a fast-paced, growing field, you have chosen wisely.

Our department strengths include highly qualified AWS certified instructors that have industry and multiple years of teaching experience combined with a personal one-on-one instruction that is not seen in most universities. We have well-furnished facilities that enhance the educational experience, and excellent job placement centers that will either place you in an internship or help you find your first job after graduation.

Welding technology students learn theories and practical skills that prepare them for jobs in the welding field. The emphasis covers layout techniques, blueprint reading, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
